Job Summary

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is an independent, non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Our team at Prairie Lakes makes a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
Full-time and relief positions available. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Assembles equipment and supplies in OR and arranges instruments according to instructions.
  • Maintains current instrument tray list and physician preference cards.
  • Assists team members in placing and positioning patients.
  • Counts sponges, needles, and instruments.
  • Performs tasks as directed by surgeon during operations.
  • Assists with maintaining adequate inventory of sterile items.
  • Transports contaminated instruments from OR to decontamination room appropriately. Takes part in sterilization.
  • Assists in daily preparation of rooms, room turnover, and cleaning duties.

Qualifications
One year certification from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
